Creating an Equation Statistic in DDS Dashboard
Step 1: Access the Statistics Tab
Navigate to the left-hand column.
Click on the 'Statistics' tab.
Step 2: Create a New Statistic
At the top-left of the screen, click the plus sign labeled 'Create Statistic'.
From the list of options, select 'Equation Statistic'.
Step 3: Name and Describe Your Statistic
Enter a name for your new statistic.
Optionally, add a description.
Step 4: Choose Data Type
Select the data type for the graph:
Numeric
Currency
Percentage
Step 5: Set Decimal Places
Choose the number of decimal places for your statistic, if necessary.
Step 6: Build Your Equation
Use the dropdown to select your first statistic.
Click the plus sign to add more statistics.
Choose the operation to apply (Add, Subtract, Divide, Multiply).
Step 7: Add Additional Statistics
Continue adding statistics as needed to complete your equation.
Step 8: Assign to a Post
Assign the equation statistic to a post at this stage.
Step 9: Finalize Creation
Once everything is set, click "Save" to finalize the creation of your equation statistic.
Step 10: Completion Confirmation
Your equation statistic is now created and will automatically calculate values based on the included statistics.
