This outlines the steps to create a new statistic using the Entry Lockdown feature in the DDS Dashboard, ensuring data integrity and accountability.

1. Access the Statistics Section

  • Navigate to the Statistics section in the DDS Dashboard.

2. Create a New Statistic

  • Click on Create Statistic.

  • Select Basic Statistic.

3. Fill Out Required Details

  • Enter the following required details:

    • Statistic Name

    • Description

    • Reporting Interval

    • Data Type

4. Enable Entry Lockdown

  • Check the box to enable the Entry Lockdown option.

5. Assign the Statistic to a Post

  • Assign the statistic to the appropriate post (e.g., Reception).

  • Only employees assigned to this post will be able to enter or edit values.

6. Save the Statistic

  • Click on Save to create the statistic.

7. Verify Access for Assigned Employees

  • Assigned employees can now open the statistic and update the graph values as needed.

8. Confirm Restrictions for Non-Assigned Employees

  • Non-assigned employees will not see the Edit Chart Values option, preventing them from modifying data.

9. Understand the Importance of Entry Lockdown

  • Recognize that Entry Lockdown:

    • Prevents unauthorized edits.

    • Protects reporting accuracy.

    • Ensures finalized data remains consistent.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that only the necessary employees are assigned to the statistic to maintain data integrity.

  • Regularly review assigned employees to ensure they still require access.
