In the DE-CIX services menu, start with "Add Service" and choose "Add DirectCLOUD Service"

On the following page, click on the AWS Icon to proceed and then push "Next."

In the next step, you must provide the "Account number" of the AWS environment you want to connect to. You can click the how-to link if you need help getting this information.

Click "Next" to proceed.

Now you are coming to the point where you have to specify the service details.

"Cloud On-Ramp Location": here, you choose where to connect to the AWS Cloud

"Your Metro Area": please specify in which metro we should handover the service to you

"Bandwidth": choose the bandwidth of the service

"External reference" and "Purchase order" are optional fields and can be any text.

"Contract duration": you can choose the duration of the services and get different quotes

After filling in the information, click on "Next "to proceed.

On the next page, check all your values and place your order by clicking the "Order" button. You can optionally add an "additional address for order confirmation."

Now the order will be processed. If everything is ready, you should see an order confirmation and should also receive an email.

Click on "Next" to choose where to allocate this cloud VLAN.

Depending on which is your configuration, you can add this cloud VLAN to an Access port or a CloudROUTER:

For this example, we will connect it to an access, click on add connection details.

Now you have to choose your "Access"; this is your access port where you want this service allocated.

You also have to specify how we should hand over the service to you. Here you have the options to choose: "port," "dot1q," or "qinq."

Depending on the chosen option, you have to specify the "VLAN" and "VLAN ethertype."

Click "Next" to finish the service creation.

Now the service is created, and you must accept the creation in your AWS console by pushing "Accept AWS Connect."

You will be forwarded to your AWS Console, where you must accept the connection. After some time, our portal will show the success of this step by switching to the "Cloud order completed" page.
