Scenario 1.
Dealership creates a deal in VINSolutions using an existing stock number, pushes that over to deskit sending the complete vehicle. deskit matches stock numbers, so the vehicle in the transfer is complete.
Scenario 2.
Dealership creates a vehicle in VINSolutions using the VINSolutions design feature. VIN Solutions uses US data set when displaying MAKE, MODEL & TRIM, where deskit uses the Canadian Version data set. For example, VIN user enters
Make: Dodge
Model: Grand Caravan
Trim (style): AVP/SE
For Scenario 2 to work in deskit, the user will have to remove Make and select Make, Model, Trim from dropdowns to fully decode a vehicle that is not matched with their inventory in deskit.
As shown in the example Dodge does not exist in deskit so we accept what was entered by user. deskit accepts Dodge Cars or Dodge Utility Vehicles or Dodge Passenger Vans.
deskit user will have to highlight and remove Make, then select Make, Model, Trim from dropdowns to correctly decode a locate or design vehicle.
