This article explains how to e-rate GM F&I products and generate e-contracts.
From sidebar, locate your GM Canada "Integrated" products.
Once you add product to deal, allow 10-20 seconds for rating to complete via web-service with GM Canada system.
Select the desired coverage and save.
Before generating contract, make sure deal is in sold status & sales team is added.
Once on contract tab, review product and select save (green checkmark)
Click on "create" to generate GM certificate.
You can now view and print certificate.

Product e-rating & e-contracting are provided by PEN (Provider Exchange Network)
PEN is an electronic data exchange that streamlines the sales process by integrating the F&I Product Provider with the Dealers’ point-of-sale system. PEN connects the Provider to a network of Dealer Systems including DMS, Menu, and Specialty Applications.
e-rating requirements
A valid VIN.
An odometer value.
Vehicle in-service date. (IF no in-service date is found on deskit stock card, deskit will. use vehicle model year + current date as in-service date).
Product coverages are limited by vehicle models and types.
e-contracting requirements
Removing (deleting) contract from deskit will VOID the contract on GM portal.
PEN will not allow the same identical contract to be re-submitted.
You will have to make an update on contract and resubmit.
Common error: 9000: Given quote not available
Vehicle in-service date cannot be AFTER the contract sale date.
Vehicle Contract Sale Date cannot be 60 days or more before the current date.
