deskit is now integrated with Stripe - a credit card processing provider that processes your customers' deposits. You can initiate this through stripe.com and once you've activated your Stripe account please reach out to support to get this set up in deskit.
The two workflows for deposits (in-person and remote) are outlined below in a brief video with bullet points and screenshots.
Workflow overview (watch time 4 mins)
Remote/online customer
Enter desired deposit amount.
Click on the deposit icon.
Click "Email Deposit URL to Customer".
You should see a success message.
Customers will receive an email and must click on "Reserve Vehicle".
The customer enters Credit Card information and clicks the "Reserve" icon.
The customer will get a response as soon as possible along with an email confirmation.
If you refresh your deal, deskit will display deposit paid + amount on deal sheet.
In-store customer
deskit user enters customer credit card information and click the "Process deposit" icon.
deskit user will be prompted to print the deposit slip and the customer will also get an email confirmation.
