Workflow FAQ

Q: Why is the selected package not available in the UI (pop-up message)?
A: Because the selected package is already created for this VIN. If you are not going to upgrade the existing package, DO NOT SELECT another TERM.

Q: Why do I see "No coverage" for the vehicle that I am sure is eligible for the BMW or MINI Service Inclusive/plus product?

A: This means you have successfully registered this product for the vehicle with BMW. The registration of the same plan of the same vehicle can only be done once.

Q: Why do I see differences in plan prices when I try to call the product pricing API for the second time for the same vehicle?

A: The price returned after the first registration has taken into consideration of the previous plan bought. Customer only needs to pay the delta price in an upgrade.

Q: What are the various dates on the contract mapped to?

Date mapping on the contract:

Q: Where does the contract in-service date originate?

A: The in-service date comes from the BMW API and is not editable.
If desired, user can update devkit vehicle in-service date to match date populated by BMW. delivery date = effective date, doesn't have to match

Q: Can I cancel the registration "void contract" on deskit?

A: No, registration can only be cancelled "void" directly with BMW

Scenario 1
VOID contract from BMW portal.

Delete existing contract in deskit (contract tab).

Reopen deskit deal, remove Service Inclusive product and save

Scenario 2

If you switch vehicle on deskit deal BUT contract has already been created.
VOID contract from BMW portal.

Delete existing contract in deskit (contract tab).

Reopen the Service Inclusive UI in existing deskit deal, to re-rerate new vehicle.

Click e-contract icon on deal to create brand new service inclusive contract.

Q: Can I upgrade an existing plan for a customer?

A: Yes. To do so, the user must manually select the upgrade plan in contract tab and then create the upgrade contract. The user will see a “create” button pop up and the plan is registered by clicking “Create”.

Q: If a plan has been upgraded multiple times with BMW, am I able to see all previous upgrade history and associated contracts?

A: Yes. All generated contracts are displayed under “Contract” tab on Deskit. Details of each plan registered can be found on each contract.
