How to make a deposit?

Updated over a week ago

We offer several methods for depositing funds. All deposits must be made in EUR.

1. Internet banking

(Note: A small transaction fee from the payment provider may apply. The fee will be shown before you confirm.)

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Log in to your Debitum account.

  2. Navigate to the Deposit page.

  3. Select Internet Banking.

  4. Enter the amount, choose your country, and bank.

  5. Confirm the payment.

2. Manual bank transfer (SEPA)

This method is available within the SEPA zone. Processing may take 1-3 business days.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Log in to your Debitum account and go to the Deposit page.

  2. Select Manual Transfer.

  3. Copy the provided bank account details (IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, and Recipient name).

  4. Crucial: Copy your unique payment reference.

  5. Log in to your online banking and initiate a new SEPA transfer.

  6. Enter the details, ensuring your unique reference is in the payment description/message field.

Important deposit rules

  • Account name: Always make transfers from a bank account held in your own name.

  • Sender name consistency: The sender's name in the bank transfer must exactly match your registered name on Debitum to ensure smooth processing of deposits. Discrepancies, such as including another family member's name, may result in delays or rejections.

  • Payment reference: Missing or incorrect references will delay or reject your deposit.

  • Joint: For joint bank accounts, please contact support@debitum.investments for pre-approval by sending a bank account statement where both your and another person's names and surnames are visible.

After your joint account is approved, the process becomes simpler. Ownership details are securely stored in the system, so future deposits do not require separate approvals or additional documents. This ensures a seamless experience for recurring transactions.

Troubleshooting steps

If you encounter issues with your deposit:

  1. Verify the sender details match your registered Debitum account name.

  2. Contact your bank.

  3. For joint accounts, submit a bank account statement with both names and surnames visible to confirm co-ownership before retrying the transaction.

Unregistered accounts: Deposits sent from accounts not registered under your Debitum profile name may be rejected or returned. Please ensure all transfers originate from your registered account.
