Spam reviews tend to be wholly or partially false, or they break the rules on review sites. Typically people submit spam reviews to either make their own business look good or to damage someone else's.
Given that people tend to look at reviews before buying online, store owners must monitor and respond to reviews. With Spam Guard, store owners can protect their store and brand reputation from spamming reviews.
If a user with the same IP address posts 3 reviews within 1 minute, or only posts 1 or 2-star ratings in less than a week, then those 3 reviews and the succeeding reviews will be marked as SPAM, and their IP address is blacklisted.
How to Enable Spam Guard
STEP 1
In the Debutify Reviews App Dashboard, click on Collect Reviews.
STEP 2
Click on the Manual Requests.
STEP 3
Check the Spam Protection box.
