Decaf Unified Balance — How It Works

One USD balance. No manual swaps

Updated over a week ago

🎯 One balance. No manual swaps. Decaf automatically moves your USDC between Solana and Stellar so you can just focus on what you want to do — send, spend, or invest.

What is Unified Balance?

Decaf now treats your USDC balance as one single balance, regardless of whether it's on Solana or Stellar. You no longer need to manually swap between chains before using a feature (Card, Send, Invest & MoneyGram coming soon) — we handle the conversion automatically behind the scenes.

How It Works Across Features
1. Card (Rain) 💳

When you fund your Rain Card, Decaf pulls from your total USDC balance. If your funds are on Stellar but the card needs Solana, the swap happens automatically. You just tap "Add Funds" and go.

2. Send 💸

Decaf will automatically use your available USDC from either chain.

Before: User needed USDC on the specific chain according to the destination.
Now: Just send, Decaf routes the funds to the right destination chain (Stellar or Solana).

3. Invest (Lulo) 📈

When swapping tokens through the Exchange feature, Decaf considers your full balance across both chains. No need to pre-position funds on the right network.

FAQ

3. Are there extra fees for the auto-swap?
The cross-chain swap is handled internally by Decaf at no extra cost to the user.

4. Does this work for all tokens?
