How to create internal messages to notify your team when an Application reaches a particular stage. For example, your underwriting team would like to be notified when an application is submitted. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Create an email template to use each time your team is to be notified.

Navigate to Document Manager > Email Template and Click Create New.

Type in the desired Subject text, in the CC field add any internal member emails by clicking on the dropdown that appears for each team member to be notified. You can also type in any email address manually and click enter to save it.

Add desired Placeholders such as the Company Name so that your team will know which company has a applied. See relevant articles on Placeholders for detailed information on how these work or chat/email Decipher Support.

Step 2: Configure the Internal Email Message to be Activated to alert team members.

1. Navigate to Account Settings.

2. Click on the Custom Messages tab and Click Create New to configure the message.

3. Select the Custom Message Type that applies. See description below.

  • Internal Email notification at application stage - Internal email to your team

  • Client Email notification at application stage - Outgoing email to applicant upon their application reaching a certain stage. For example, when an application is submitted, you may want to trigger another automatic message with next steps for the applicant.

  • Application Submit - Message that appears to the applicant as soon as they click Submit on the application. Example: Your application has been received! We will be in touch shortly.

  • eSignature Landing Page - Message that appears at the top of the page when a document is received for signature. Example: Review & Sign Below.

4. Choose the Email Template previously created in Step 1.

5. Select the appropriate Stage that will trigger the message for the drop-down list.

6. A To field will appear when creating an internal message. You can select from team member emails that will show in the drop down and/or write in an email address not found in the drop down. You must hit Enter on your keyboard to save the email address not found in the drop-down list.
