Using the Preview button will display what your digital application will look like to an applicant, but it is not a "live" application. Some functionality will not be visible, and you cannot test it. See steps below to create a test an application.

💡Tip: You can create an application by going to New Client and creating it from there. The approach below should only be done as a "test" when initially starting to use your account, if needed.

Step 2: and Click on Web Link. Copy the Link that appears.

Step 3: Log out of Decipher or Open up a Different Browser or Open an Incognito Window. Decipher will not let you have 2 active sessions at the same time - you cannot be logged in as a lender and an applicant or you will get a 404 error message and will not be able to proceed.

Step 4: In a new browser, Paste the Web Link. Your digital application will open. Remember, this is a live link so you will be creating a sample application. This is not the ideal way to start an application on behalf of a potential client, as Decipher records the IP address, date and time of the application, etc. If you start a test application, it will immediately appear under applications in the Decipher dashboard and any automatic emails generated by the system will be sent out.

Best practices: Start an application on behalf of a client directly from Decipher > New Client. Follow directions in the Knowledge base or reach out to Decipher Support.
