When an application is underwritten, it gets locked down so that the prospect cannot make any changes to it. The application gets locked automatically as soon as "Evaluate" is selected in Decipher. Evaluate is selected to request Credit Reports, Background Reports, Evaluation criteria, and other underwriting features in Decipher. An application can also be manually locked/unlocked at any time if the user has permissions enabled to do that.
How to Identify if an Application is Locked
Navigate to Application detail and locate the LOCK icon at the top right corner. The icon will show a locked position.
How to Unlock an Application
Click the Lock button and it will Unlock.
What does your prospect see when their application is locked?
They may be able to edit items in their application but no changes will be saved and they will see this notification.
