Problem: An applicant reports they cannot save any information on their application or they get the message "Application Under Review".

Why is this happening? When lenders press "Evaluate" applications become automatically locked until they are manually unlocked by lenders. As soon as an application is evaluated, it will automatically lock so that the applicant can't make any further changes and the file can be underwritten. This is for security purposes so applicants can't change their information in the midst of underwriting. Once lenders are ready to run credit reports and underwriting criteria, they usually don't want the information being changed by applicants at will. After underwriting has completed, you can unlock the file manually anytime.

Troubleshooting

Step 1: Navigate to the Application and locate the LOCK icon on the upper right corner.

Step 2: Click to Unlock it.

🎉 Success! The application is now unlocked for the prospect to make changes. It can be locked/unlocked again manually anytime by clicking on the Lock button again.
