Follow the tips below to get the best results using our ID Verification feature. Our ID Verification service allows taking a picture or uploading an ID, scanning and extracting the data from the ID automatically, obtaining Decipher's ID Analytics Report as well as running the ID and individual's information against known criminal/international watch lists, including OFAC and United Nations.
PROSPECTS
Single Owner - Capturing the ID:
Directly from their application portal, access the ID Options
From any smartphone or device, click the Camera option
Take a picture of the FRONT of the ID.
Allow Access to your camera when prompted.
Center the ID in the image guide and hold the device as still as possible.
A confirmation message appears indicating the ID is being processed.
That's it! The camera will close and you are back at your application.
If you chose the Upload option, upload the desired ID file.
After the ID is captured, you should now see a form with the information from your ID filled in.
ONLY Upload 1 ID to the Upload option.
If there are Multiple Owners, Click the + Button to add additional owners and Upload individually to each owner. Follow the Steps Below:
Multiple Owners - Capturing Each ID Individually:
To add additional Owners, Click the + Button for each owner
A new option to Upload another ID will appear just below the prior owner.
Upload or take a Picture of the additional ID following the same steps above.
Follow these steps for every owner individually.
Uploading or taking a Picture of multiple ID's to the same owner will result in overwriting the previous owner information with the new one.
From a Smartphone:
Clicking + adds a new owner below. The new owner has its own area to Upload or take a Picture. Add the new owner ID there separately.
From a Tablet/Laptop/Desktop:
Clicking + adds a new owner below. The new owner has its own area to Upload or Take a Picture. Add the new owner ID there separately. Each owner ID should be added individually after adding each owner.
Retake:
If image quality is too blurry/unreadable, a message will prompt a Retake. If prospects are unable to Take a Picture, the next best option is to Upload a file (picture or PDF). As a last resort, prospects can type in their information by clicking on Type Information.
⚠️ Please Note: Typing the information manually will not activate ID Verification.
Supported Image Files:
From a Smartphone/Device Camera:
Most file types taken from the Camera of a Smartphone/Device are supported (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF).
Uploaded Files:
Our ID Capture & Verification supports JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, PDF files. All image files mentioned will generate the ID Verification Report, except for PDF files. Data on a PDF file is extracted to pre-fill the form and the individual's information is run against known watch lists but no image metrics are included in the ID Report since a PDF is not an image file.
