Follow the tips below to get the best results using our ID Verification feature. Our ID Verification service allows taking a picture of an ID, scanning and extracting the data from the ID automatically, obtaining Decipher's ID Analytics Report as well as running the ID and individual's information against known criminal/international watch lists, including OFAC and United Nations.

PROSPECTS

Single Owner - Capturing the ID: 3 Step Process

  1. Directly from their application portal from any smartphone, click the Camera icon

  2. Follow the prompts to take a picture of the FRONT and BACK of the ID and then a Selfie.

  3. Allow Access to your camera when prompted. Avoid dark rooms or bright lights hitting the ID.

  4. Center the ID in the image guide and hold the device as still as possible.

  5. Take a picture of the FRONT of the ID.

  6. A confirmation message appears indicating the Front of the ID was processed.

  7. Next do the same with the BACK of the ID.

  8. Once the back is processed, take a SELFIE. The Selfie is only of the person's face and should NOT contain anything other than the person. No glasses, hats or anything else obstructing the face.

  9. That's it! The camera will close and you are back at your application.

  10. If there are Multiple Owners, Click Add Owner follow the same process for each owner.

Step 1: Front of ID

Step 2: Back of ID

Step 3: Selfie (just the face alone)

Retake:

If image quality is too blurry/unreadable, a message will prompt a Retake.

Supported Image Files:

From a Smartphone/Device Camera:
Most file types taken from the Camera of a Smartphone/Device are supported (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF).

Uploaded Files (only available on some accounts):

Our ID Capture & Verification supports JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF. All image files mentioned will generate the ID Verification Report.

Note: If a PDF is provided to a lender, the individual's information is run against known watch lists but no image metrics are included in the ID Report since a PDF is not an image file.
