To get a complete overview of your digital marketing performance, you'll most likely have to add several platforms to your deepdivr account and your dashboards.

We have built deepdivr to streamline data from various platforms, whether you want your total result (across platforms) or to compare the individual platforms.

To set up your multiplatform dashboard, you need to know how to group and separate data from different platforms.

Separate platforms in multiple widgets (mostly used)

After adding your data to a dashboard, your widgets will automatically show results across all platforms connected to the dashboard.

In this example, let's assume you're combining data from Facebook and Google Ads and want to see the topline results from each platform.

To do this, create a Result Widget to show the results. Notice that this widget will automatically combine the data from Facebook and Google Ads (which means some (unique) metrics are unavailable). To separate, you'll need to:

  • Hover over the widget

  • Click on the gear icon

  • Click Select Platforms

  • Choose the platform you want this widget to show data from - e.g., Facebook

Now you're halfway there. Create a second Result Widget, repeat the process above but select Google Ads in the last step.

That's it! Now you have two widgets; one showing Facebook results, the other showing Google Ads results.

Separate platforms in multiple tabs (commonly used)

Separating platforms in tabs is also widely used - and recommended use.

If you have created a multiplatform dashboard, you can easily end up with many widgets on a single tab, which doesn't give the best overview.

Instead, many users have a 'summary tab' with a few widgets, and next to that, different tabs diving into the individual platforms.

To set this up, you don't have to click 'Select Platforms' on each widget; you can simply do it on the tab level instead.

Here's how you do it:

  • Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the dashboard

  • Click Select Platforms

  • Choose the platform you want this tab to show data from - e.g., Facebook

Now, all widgets on this tab will automatically show data from Facebook and only Facebook.

To add another tab, click 'New Tab' and repeat the process above but select, e.g., Google Ads in the last step.

Group platforms in a single widget (standard view)

Even though separating data is the most common use case, many users like combining results across platforms to instantly see the total campaign or monthly results.

Luckily, it's very easy to do that - because this is the standard view in deepdivr.

Whenever you create a widget - e.g., Result Widget - it will combine data from the platforms connected to the dashboard.

You need to be aware that some metrics are unavailable on all platforms, so you'll have to select those metrics, like Impressions, that are available on the platforms you use.

Also, some metrics are unique, so even though that metric, like Reach, is available on both Facebook and Snapchat, you can't calculate and measure it across platforms.
