OncoForm Category & Title
☐Template is named in a way that clearly indicates it is AI-compatible. (For example, you added an “AI” prefix to the beginning of your note title, like “(AI) MD Follow Up Visit”.)
If you’d like your MD visit note template titles to appear bolded on the Documents page.
If the note template has a Category assigned, the Category name must start with “MD” (e.g. MD AI Visit Notes). The note template title can be formatted any way you prefer.
If the note template does not have a Category assigned, then the OncoForm template title must start with “MD” (e.g. MD AI Follow Up Visit).
Visit Note Designation
☐All OncoForm templates that are used as provider visit notes, both AI- and non AI-enabled, should have the “Show in Visit Note List” checkbox selected in the Advanced tab.
External Field Type
☐There is at most one of each External field type in a single note template. (For example, within a single note template, you should only configure 1 field as “Social History” using the External Field dropdown menu.)
Remember, DeepScribe maps content to OncoEMR visit notes using External fields. If you try to configure multiple External fields as “Social History,” DeepScribe will import the same content to all those mapped fields, even if you’ve given those fields different titles like “Alcohol” or “Occupation.”
All External field types are nested within a container, not floating under a tab.
✅Correct: External Chief Complaint is nested in a container |
❌Incorrect: External Chief Complaint is floating in the tab |
Datanames and Carry Forward Settings
☐For fields that should carry text forward across different note templates, both AI- and non-AI compatible, the fields’ datanames should match.
Example: If you want the Plan field to carry forward between your legacy MD Visit Note and the AI-compatible version of your MD Visit Note, then the legacy Plan question should have the same dataname as the External Plan field in the AI-compatible version. In this example, the dataname for both fields is Treatment_Plan.
MIPS Requirements
☐Ensure that any visit note sections that are needed for MIPS reporting were kept as legacy fields. Refer to our “OncoForm | MIPS Considerations” article for a full list of relevant fields.
