What is Provably Fair?
At Degen.com, fairness isn’t something you take our word for — it’s something you can verify yourself.
Our Provably Fair system ensures every bet result is generated fairly, securely, and transparently, giving players the tools to confirm outcomes using cryptographic proof.
How It Works (Commitment Scheme)
Degen.com uses a three-step commitment scheme between the player and the game server:
Initial Commitment
When a bet begins, both you (the player) and Degen generate random strings known as seeds.
The server seed is hashed and stored before the game starts to ensure it cannot be changed afterward.Betting
Each game outcome is determined using a combination of three values:Client Seed (chosen by you)
Server Seed (generated and hidden by Degen)
Nonce (a counter that increases with each bet)
Together, these create a random but reproducible result.
Reveal & Verify
After rotating your seeds, the previous server seed is revealed and can be compared with its original hash.
This lets you confirm the result was mathematically fair and unchanged.
How to Verify a Bet
You can verify any bet you’ve made through either the Provably Fair modal inside any Degen game or the Provably Fair page found in the website footer.
Step 1 — Open the Provably Fair Modal
Open any game’s bet modal and navigate to the Provably Fair section.
Here, you’ll see your Client Seed, Nonce, and Server Seed (hashed).
Step 2 — Rotate Your Seed Pair
To reveal the previous Server Seed, you must manually rotate your seed pair:
Enter a new Client Seed in the Provably Fair modal.
Click Change (or Rotate Seeds, depending on the game).
This commits a new Client Seed and Server Seed for future bets and lets you reveals the old server seed in plain text using our hash function found on our Provably Fair page which can be accessed through our footer under About Us section.
Remember: Only rotate seeds after all active bets have finished, or verification data from the previous seed may be lost.
Step 3 — Copy and Verify the Revealed Server Seed
Once the old server seed is revealed, you can copy it and verify it using one of two methods:
Through the Provably Fair modal inside any original Degen game
On the Provably Fair page found in the footer of Degen.com
Paste the following details into the verification form:
Client Seed
Server Seed
Nonce
When you click Verify, the system will reproduce the exact same game result that appeared on your original bet slip — confirming the outcome’s fairness.
