Understanding gambling limits

Learn how to use gambling limits to manage your losses or wagers within daily, weekly, or monthly periods.

Written by Alfie

Gambling limits on Degen.com let you set a maximum amount you’re willing to wager or lose.

  • Limits are in effect continuously from the moment you set them.

  • They do not auto-expire after a day/week/month - they stay active until you change or remove them.

You can set:

  • Type: Loss Limit or Wager Limit

  • Period: Daily, Weekly or Monthly.

Important behavior

  • Setting a limit: Takes effect immediately.

  • Increasing or removing a limit: Triggers a 24-hour cooling-off period. Your current limit remains in force during that 24 hours. After the cooldown ends, the new (higher) limit or removal applies.

Example

You set a $100 daily loss limit at 10:00.

  • That limit stays active every day until you decide to change it.

  • If you choose to remove or increase it at 16:00, a 24-hour cooldown starts.

  • Until 16:00 tomorrow, the $100 daily loss limit still applies. After that, the removal/increase takes effect.

This design prevents impulsive changes and helps you keep control of your play. If you need help choosing or adjusting a limit, contact support@degen.com.
