Who is this for?

This guidance is for all partners in the UK, Ireland, Italy and Kuwait who may be considering listing vape or similar items on the Deliveroo platform. It explains which items fall under restrictions, why they are unsupported and what actions you may need to take to remain compliant.

  • What are the restrictions on vapes, and why are they restricted?

  • What are single-use vapes? (Applicable in the UK only)

  • Why does this matter?

  • What action do I need to take

  • What happens if I do not follow these requirements?

What are the restrictions on vapes, and why are they restricted?

While single use vapes are banned, reusable vaping products are still permitted on Deliveroo which meet the below criteria. Please note the below that does apply to partners in Kuwait.

  • Nicotine Strength Limits:

    • Maximum 20 mg/ml or 2%

  • Capacity Limits:

    • For refill containers: max 10ml

    • For vape tanks: max 2ml

  • Product Description Requirements

    • Must clearly state whether it’s a vape/e-cigarette or an e-liquid refill

    • Must list nicotine strength and capacity (in ml)

  • Age-Restricted Tagging: All vape products must be marked as Age Restricted in your range/menu

  • MHRA Registration (Applicable in the UK only): All vaping products (vapes and e-liquids) must be listed in the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) database of compliant products

Failure to comply with these rules may result in your products being removed, or other enforcement action.

What are single-use vapes? (Applicable in the UK only)

Single-use vapes, also known as disposable vapes, are pre-filled electronic cigarettes designed not to be reused or refiled. Once the battery or e-liquid is finished, the product is intended to be discarded. These products typically have:

  • A fixed battery or sealed tank

  • Non-rechargable or refilling

  • A limited puff count before disposing

Why does this matter?

At Deliveroo, we prohibit partners from listing single-use vapes, in line with government regulations in efforts to:

  • Reduce environmental impact with the high volume of single plastics waste

  • Limit the access to underage customers

  • Promote responsible practices

I’m an existing Deliveroo partner — do I need to take action?

  • Review your menu to ensure none of your products fall into restricted categories listed above.

  • Remove any non-compliant items immediately from the menu.

  • Correctly label your vape products on your menu:

    • Full name

    • Full description with the nicotine strength and capacity

    • Picture if available

    • Age restriction tagging

  • If you're unsure whether a product qualifies as a restricted vape item, please contact your Account Manager or Deliveroo support for further guidance.

Listings that breach this policy may be removed without notice. Repeated or serious violations can result in suspension or termination from the platform.

What happens if I do not follow these requirements?

Deliveroo closely monitors the platform for products that breach our Restricted Items policy. If a non-compliant item is detected:

  • It will be removed from your menu without notice.

  • Repeated or serious breaches, (such as the listing of single-use vapes from partners in the UK market) — may result in your store being suspended or permanently removed from the platform.
