How Delve allocates parking

Updated over 2 years ago

After Delve understands your parking strategy, ratio, and area information, it will take the provided inputs into consideration during the generation. Each block is allocated a target GFA, based on the parking goals, and Delve then calculates the target parking spots required for this block.

Next, Delve will distribute the parking spots based on the parking strategies selected for the generation. During this step, Delve will test different ways to divide the target parking spots among the selected strategies (structured parking, surface parking, and underground parking), with some built-in heuristic rules, such as avoiding the expensive underground parking strategy.

Finally, Delve will count the number of parking spots allocated throughout the site, and compare it with the target parking spots. This allows Delve to highlight any difference between the designs if present.
