Distance Traveled
Updated over a year ago

Distance traveled measures the total annual miles/kilometers traveled by all residents and workers within a site. In Delve, this includes the following transit modes: automobile, bus, motorcycle, boat, tram, subway, cycling, and walking.

How is Distance Traveled Calculated?

Delve’s Distance traveled figure is derived from the Google Environmental Insights Explorer, which uses aggregated location history data. It includes inbound, outbound, and intrabound trips at the city level but excludes trips that both start and end outside of the city boundary. Trips and distances are then scaled to reflect the site population, which includes both residents and workers.
