Delve is built to enable you to collaborate with others, so there are various ways to share your projects. These permission settings enable you to control how your project is shared and what people can access.

How to share project

1) Click the share button at the upper right hand corner of your project.

2) Click the "Enter email address" box.

3) Type in the email address of who you'd like to share with.

4) Click "Can edit" to decide on the permissions

5) Select either "Can edit" or "Can View"

  • "Can Edit": This enables the researcher you're sharing with to edit the full project. They will have full access to adding transcripts and codes, coding content, filtering, and searching.

    • They need an active Delve subscription to edit.

  • "Can View" : This enables the researcher you're sharing with to view your project but not edit. They will only have access to viewing transcripts and your codebook.

    • They do not need an active Delve subscription to view.

Permission levels

There are different, nuanced levels of access you can grant to people you share your projects with. This is helpful if:

  • You want some people to code and edit a project, while others can only view it

  • You want everybody to be able to edit and code the project.

  • You are the only one coding and editing your project and want others to only view it

Description of permission levels:

FAQ

Q. What happens if I share edit access with someone who doesn't have an active Delve subscription?

A. They will only have 'view only' access until they get an active Delve subscription. You will have an option to add them to your subscription. If you add them, you will be responsible for paying for their subscription fees and they will be able to edit your project.

Q. Can I share a project with someone for free?

A. Yes, you can share your project with anyone for free on Delve, granting them 'view only' access. To enable editing capabilities for the shared project, the recipient must have their own Delve subscription, or you can include them in your subscription plan.
