The Transcript Dashboard is the main place to add and manage transcripts in a Delve project. From the dashboard, you can add transcripts, see which transcripts have been assigned to team members, monitor coding progress, and open individual transcripts.

Make sure your transcript is in a supported text-based format. Delve can import:

You can also copy and paste transcript text directly into Delve.

Open the project where you want to add the transcript.

You can click the plus sign (+) to the right of Transcripts in the left menu to open the import page.

Alternatively, you can click Transcripts in the left menu and then click Add Transcript.

From there you can either upload transcript files or copy and paste your text directly into Delve. We’ll go over both options below.

If you have files to upload, drag and drop your transcript file into the Add Text box. You can add multiple files at once, they will each be titled according to the file name.

A window will confirm what you have selected to import. If you want to add more files, click Add more transcripts, otherwise select Start coding.

Use the Transcript Name field to title your transcript. Copy and paste your text into the Add Text.

Click Add Transcript to add the transcript to your project.

Q: What file types can I import as a transcript?

A: Delve supports TXT, DOCX, and PDF files. You can also copy and paste text directly into Delve.

Q: Can I upload multiple transcripts at once?

A: If your transcripts exist as PDF, DOCX, or TXT files, you can import multiple transcripts at once. To do so, simply drag and drop all of the desired files into the Add Text box on the import page. Each file will be uploaded as an individual transcript.

If you are adding transcripts as copy and pasted text, you will need to do so one at a time.

Q: Can I upload an audio or video file as a transcript?

A: No. Delve analyzes text-based data. Audio and video files must first be transcribed.

Q: Is there a limit to the size of a transcript?

A: A transcript can contain up to 270,000 characters. If your transcript exceeds this limit, consider dividing it into smaller sections.
