If you accidentally coded a snippet, here's how you can remove that code

You can remove a code from a snippet in three main locations:

  1. From a Transcript page

  2. From the Snippets page

  3. From the Code Details page

Below are step-by-step instructions for each method.


Remove a Code from a Transcript Page

You have two options for removing a code from a snippet on the transcript page.

Option 1: Use the Code Tag

  1. Click on the desired snippet to highlight it.

  2. Beneath the snippet, locate the code tag and click the X next to the code you want to remove.

Option 2: Use the Code List

  1. Click on the desired snippet to highlight it.

  2. In the right Codes panel, click the code you wish to remove.


Remove a Code from the Snippets Page

You can remove a code from a snippet on the Snippets page using either of the two options below:

Option 1: Use the Code Tag

  1. Click Snippets in the left menu.

  2. Select the snippet from the list.

  3. Below the paragraph, click the X on the code tag to remove it.

    • Alternatively, you can click the code directly in the right Codes panel to remove it


Option 2: Use the Plus (+) Button

  1. Click the plus (+) icon in the bottom left corner of the snippet.

  2. Use the Filter field or scroll to find the desired code.

  3. Codes already associated with the snippet will show a checkmark to the left of the code name. Click the X to the right of the code name to remove it from the snippet.


Remove a Code from the Code Details Page

You can remove a code from a snippet in the Code Details page using either of the following methods:

Option 1: Use the Code Tag

  1. Navigate to the Code Details page for the relevant code.

  2. Locate the snippet in the list and click on it.

  3. Below the snippet, click theโ€œX next to the code to remove it.

Option 2: Use the Plus (+) Button

  1. Click the plus (+) icon in the bottom left corner of the snippet.

  2. Use the search field or browse to locate the desired code.

  3. Codes already applied will have a checkmark next to the code name. Click the X to the right of the code name to remove it from the snippet.

  • From a Transcript or Snippets page - Hover over a code in the Codes panel to the right and click the pencil icon and select "See Details.

  • From the Codebook - Click Codes in the left-hand menu and click on any code to open its details page.
