Dental Intelligence General Reports help you track both day-to-day performance and long-term growth. Whether you want a quick snapshot or a big-picture view, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports keep you connected to your practice’s progress.

Accessing General Reports

To access General Reports, click on the Reports dropdown in the left side menu, then click General Reports and select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly in the dashboard header.

Note: If you do not see the Reports dropdown, you have not been given access. Please reach out to an Admin team member in your practice for assistance.


Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports

Dental Intelligence Reports are designed to give you insights that match your practice’s unique goals. Daily and Weekly Reports help you monitor the current health of your practice, showing key statistics by role such as gross production, net production, and collections. Monthly Reports provide a broader view of overall performance, highlighting collections, gross production, and patient activity to reveal long-term trends and growth opportunities.

To make reviewing these reports easy, you can turn on automated report emails in the upper right corner of each report section.


Understanding Daily and Weekly Reports

The Daily Report captures the following metrics on a day-by-day basis. The Weekly Report captures the following metrics within a weekly time frame.

Overall Practice Standings

  • Total Gross Production of the selected day/week

  • Total Net Production of the selected day/week

  • Total Collections of the selected day/week

  • Total New Patients of the selected day/week

Practice Standings by Dentist Role

  • Dentists' Gross Production of the selected day/week

  • Dentists' Net Production per Visit of the selected day/week

  • Dentists' Treatment % Acceptance of the selected day/week

Practice Standings by Hygienist Role

  • Hygienists' Gross Production of the selected day/week

  • Hygienists' Net Production per Visit of the selected day/week

  • Hygienists' Re-Appointment % of the selected day/week

Practice Standings by Front Office Role

  • Scheduled Patients Rescheduled during the selected day/week

  • Patients Not Rescheduled during the selected day/week

  • Unscheduled Active Patients during the current day/week

How to Run a Daily Report

  1. From the left side menu, click Reports > General Reports

  2. In the General Reports header, click on the Daily section

  3. The Daily Report will display data for the current day. Click on the calendar button to change the date

  4. Review the generated results by Role (Dentist, Hygienist, and Front Office)

How to Run a Weekly Report

  1. From the left side menu, click Reports > General Reports

  2. In the General Reports header, click on the Weekly section

  3. The Weekly Report will display data for the current week. Click on the calendar button to change the selected week

  4. Review the generated results by Role (Dentist, Hygienist, and Front Office)


Understanding the Monthly Report

The Monthly Report captures the following metrics during the selected month-long period:

  • Active Patients — The number of patients whose status in your practice management system is active and who have had a completed visit in the last 18 months

  • New Patients —Those who have their first completed visit at the practice (procedures billed out to them and on their ledger)

  • Patient Growth New Patients + Recaptured Patients - Lost Patients = Patient Growth

  • Recaptured Patients Any patients who have a completed visit at the practice after going 18 months without a visit or whose status in the practice management system is changed back to Active after it has been Inactive

  • Pre-Appointment % The amount of Active Patients in your practice who have a future visit scheduled

  • Hygiene Re-Appointment % The amount of patients who came in for a hygiene visit that left the office scheduled for their next hygiene visit

How to Run a Monthly Report

  1. From the left side menu, click Reports > General Reports

  2. In the General Reports header, click on the Monthly section

  3. The Monthly Report will display data for the previous month. Click on the calendar button to change the selected month

  4. Review the generated results


General Reports FAQs

How do I print Daily, Weekly, or Monthly Reports?

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports cannot be printed directly from within Dental Intelligence. To receive a printable version of these reports, toggle on the option to begin receiving automatically generated report emails in the upper right corner of each report section.

Why doesn't the data in my Daily Report Email match what I see in the dashboard?

If you notice that the Daily Report Email doesn't match what is currently shown in Dental Intelligence, this is because the nightly sync has not been completed prior to when the email was sent. Please check your Analytics portal and ensure that your practice management software is connected to Analytics and is actively syncing. Learn more here.
