How to update the Application on the Play Console?

Access and Select Your Application

  1. Select your application account

  2. Select your applications (Customer app, Partner app, Driver app)

Check App Content Status

  1. Open App Content from the left menu

  2. Review two sections: Need Attention and Actioned

Create and Submit a New Release

  1. Open Production from the left menu

  2. Click on Create New Release

  3. Drag and Drop the our shared .aab file

  4. Scroll down to the Release notes section

  5. Write your message or simply use "Bug Fixing & Performance Improvements"

Review and Save the Release

  1. If the Save Draft button is not active, check the page for errors

    • If errors appear, contact the developer and share a screenshot

  2. Click on Save Draft

  3. After progress is finished, click on Save

  4. Click on Next

Handle Any Errors

  1. If the Submit for Review button is inactive with an "Advertising ID" error:

    • Expand the error message

    • Start Survey

    • If no errors appear, skip to step 19

  2. Select Yes, then select Analytics and Save

  3. Repeat steps from Step 6

  4. Click on Submit For Review and confirm in the dialog by clicking Submit for Review

Complete the Review Process

  1. You will be redirected to the Publishing Overview page

  2. Click on Send Changes For Review

  3. All your recent changes are now in review

    • This typically takes 1-2 business hours

    • Sometimes it continues to show "Send Changes For Review" even though your changes are already in review

Manage Publishing Options

  1. Turn on managing publishing

    • If enabled, Google will review your apps but won't publish/update in Play Store immediately

    • You'll need to publish manually to see updates in the Play Store

  2. Turn off managing publishing

    • If disabled, Google will review your apps and publish your application as soon as the review process is finished
