Configuring Delivery Confirmation Settings

Delivery confirmation is an essential feature that helps verify successful order deliveries and maintains accountability in your delivery operations. This guide explains how to set up different delivery confirmation methods in Deonde.

Accessing Delivery Confirmation Settings

  1. Log in to your Deonde admin dashboard

  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Select General

  4. Scroll down to the Delivery Confirmation section

Available Confirmation Methods

Deonde offers four delivery confirmation options:

1. None

  • No confirmation required from customers upon delivery

  • Delivery is marked as complete when the delivery person indicates it's delivered

  • Best for low-value items or when speed is prioritized over confirmation

2. OTP (One-Time Password)

  • Customer receives a unique code which must be given to the delivery person

  • Delivery person enters this code in their app to confirm delivery

  • Provides good security and verification without requiring physical contact

3. Signature

  • Customer must provide a digital signature on the delivery person's device

  • Creates a record of who received the order

  • Ideal for high-value items or business deliveries

4. Photo

  • Delivery person must take a photo of the delivered package

  • Photo is stored as proof of delivery

  • Useful for contactless deliveries or when leaving packages at doorsteps

How to Set Your Preferred Confirmation Method

  1. Click on the dropdown menu under Delivery Confirmation

  2. Select your preferred method from the options (None, OTP, Signature, or Photo)

  3. Click the Update button at the bottom of the page to save your changes

Best Practices for Delivery Confirmation

  • Match confirmation method to order value: Use stricter confirmation methods for higher-value orders

  • Consider your customer base: Business customers may prefer signature, while residential customers might prefer contactless options

  • Seasonal adjustments: During busy periods like holidays, consider simpler confirmation methods to speed up deliveries
