A custom domain creates a professional appearance for your food ordering system and strengthens your brand identity. This guide walks you through the process of pointing your domain to Deonde's servers.

Domain Configuration Process

Step 1: Access Your DNS Provider

  • Log in to the service where you purchased your domain name

  • Common providers include GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, and Google Domains

Step 2: Locate DNS Management

  • Navigate to the DNS management section in your provider's dashboard

  • Look for options labeled "DNS Management," "DNS Settings," or "Zone Editor"

Step 3: Add a New A Record Create a new DNS record with these exact specifications:

AUTO ot 600

  • Type: Select "CNAME Record" from the dropdown menu

  • Name/Host: Enter order (this will create order.yourdomain.com)

  • Value/Points to: Enter order.deonde.co

  • TTL (Time to Live): Leave as default/Auto or set to 600 seconds

Step 4: Save Your Changes

  • Click the Save, Add Record, or Apply button (terminology varies by provider)

  • Confirm any verification prompts if required

Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation

  • DNS changes typically propagate globally within 15 minutes to 24 hours

  • In most cases, the changes take effect within 1-2 hours

After Configuration

Once your custom domain is successfully set up:

  1. Your customers will be able to access your ordering platform through order.yourdomain.com

  2. Please contact support and they will verify and activate your Custom Domain.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If the domain isn't working after 24 hours, double-check your CNAME record settings

  • Ensure there are no conflicting records for the same subdomain
