In this article, you will learn how to add walls and/or rooms to your floorplan. It is worth noting that if you want to make changes to a room, you need to select the floorplan view to access its settings.

1. Open the Floorplan/3D Renderer.

2. In the Attributes panel, click the Walls & Rooms tab.

3. The Walls & Rooms tab allows you to draw rooms and walls or use one of the 7 preset rooms.

I. To add a room, you can choose from the presets and click the Plus (+) icon which will appear when you hover your cursor to the selected preset.

Point your cursor in the Floorplanner Canvas, click to mark the room presets starting point, and drag the cursor until you achieve the desired measurement. Please note that you can still update the measurement after adding the room.

II. To draw a room, find and click the Draw Room icon and point your cursor in the Floorplanner Canvas to create a starting point.

From the starting point, drag your cursor until you achieve the preferred room size and click to mark the endpoint.

After drawing the room, the Walls & Rooms tab will enable additional room settings:

  • Room Name

  • Ceiling Height

III. To draw a wall, find and click the Draw Wall icon.

Point your cursor in the Floorplanner Canvas to draw the wall’s starting point.

From the starting point, drag your cursor until you achieve the preferred wall length. You can continuously draw the wall by clicking at the wall’s endpoint. To stop drawing the wall, press the ESC key on your keyboard or Right-click on your mouse/pointer.

  • Note: you can adjust the height of the wall by selecting a particular wall, this will enable the Height option in the Walls & Rooms tab.

4. After adding the room/wall, click the Save button to apply the changes.
