Adding/Removing Baseboards to your 3D Design

In this article, you will learn how to add and/or remove baseboards using the Floorplan / 3D Renderer.

Adding Baseboards

In this section, you will learn how to add baseboards to your design.

1. Open the Floorplan / 3D Renderer Editor and select the Room where you want to add the baseboards.

2. After selecting the room, click the Doors, Windows & Trim tab.

3. Click the Baseboards panel to display the available baseboards for selection. The number beside the Baseboards label indicates the number of baseboard designs that you can choose from.

4. Find the baseboard that you want to add and click its Plus (+) icon to select.

5. Point the cursor to the wall where you want to add the baseboards.

6. A Confirmation dialog box will appear. Select the next action to take by clicking the appropriate button:

  • This room: selecting this option will add the selected baseboard to all the walls in the current room of the Floor Plan, no other room will be updated with the BaseBoard.

  • All Walls: selecting this option will add the selected baseboard to all the walls on the Floor Plan.

  • Selected Wall: selecting this option will only add the baseboard to the selected wall within the room.

7. Click Save to update the design.

Removing Baseboards

In this section, you will learn how to remove baseboards from your design. This method comes in handy when replacing the baseboards as you need to remove them first before adding a different one.

1. Open the Floorplan / 3D Renderer Editor and select the Room where you want to remove the added baseboards.

2. After selecting the room, click the Doors, Windows & Trim tab.

3. Click the Baseboards panel to display more options.

4. Click the Remove Baseboard’s Plus (+) icon, this is the first option in the Baseboards panel.

5. Point and click the cursor to the wall where the baseboards are located.

6. A Confirmation dialog box will appear. Select the next action to take by clicking the appropriate button:

  • This Room: selecting this option will remove the selected baseboards from only the walls in the current room, no other room of the Floor Plan will be affected.

  • All Walls: selecting this option will remove the selected baseboards from all the walls on the Floor Plan.

  • Selected Wall: selecting this option will only remove the baseboards from the selected wall.

7. Click Save to update the design.
