In this article, you will learn how to use product tags. The product tags enable you to add tags to products so you can organize your product library and easily access products. There are three (3) notable uses of product tags that will simplify your designing experience.

Adding Tags to Products

To start using the product tags, you must add the tags to the product itself. This may be a lot to start, however, you can do this when updating a product or when using a product in your design. As you go along with the product tagging method, you will soon find that you have organized your product library in no time.

1. On the Menu, click Products to open the products library.

2. Find the product that you want to update and click its More Options [...] icon to access more options.

Note: you can use the Search field to filter by name, tag, or product description. In addition, you can use the Product Filters to narrow your search. You can filter all products by project, vendor, or price.

3. Click Edit Product Details to update the selected product’s information.

4. The Edit Product Details window will appear. Find and click the Tags field to display the tags lists.

5. Select the tag(s) that you want to apply to the selected product.

Note: you can add multiple tags to a product by separating each tag with a comma or by pressing the Enter key on your Keyboard.

If the tag is not on the list, you can directly add the product tag in this field by entering the tag name and pressing the Enter key on your Keyboard.

Searching Products By Tags in the Products Library

When looking for a product, you can use the By Tags filter in the product library to seamlessly find it.

1. On the Menu, click Products to open the products library.

2. Find the Product Filters and click the By Tag drop-down arrow to view the tags lists.

3. You can use the Search Tag field to search for a specific tag or click one of the tags from the list.

4. After selecting the product tag, the products that were tagged with it will be displayed.

Note: you can also use the product tag in the Product Search field.

Searching Products By Tags While Using the Moodboard

When creating a moodboard, it can be tedious to look for a product that you have seen before that you think will suit your client. It may take time to manually look for that product, especially when you forgot the name of that product or its vendor.

However, if you added a tag to that product, you can use it to search for the product using the Tag filter to narrow your search.

1. Open the Moodboard / Roomboard Editor. See the How do I access the Moodboard / Roomboard? article for more details.

2. In the Product, Paint & More Panels, click the My Library tab.

3. Find the Tag filter and click its drop-down arrow.

4. You can use the Search Tag field to search for a specific tag or click one of the tags from the list.

5. After selecting the product tag, the products that were tagged with it will be displayed in the products list.
