After importing your content, Designrr automatically paginates the project. However, you may still find some pages where there is empty space that you would like to fill.
For these cases, Designrr includes a Repaginate tool that can move content upward and reduce unnecessary white space with one click.
In the example below, we are going to fill the empty space on the page and move the content up automatically.
1. Find the Repaginate Icon
To find the Repaginate icon, click anywhere on the page or select any element. This opens the blue toolbar with several icons. Click the Repaginate icon.
The content is moved upward and fills the empty space on the page.
2. Locked Page Content
In some cases, the Repaginate function may not move all the content.
For example, you may want each chapter in your ebook to start on a new page. In this case, the chapter heading acts as an anchor and prevents the content below it from moving into the empty space on the previous page.
However, the content below that heading can still be repaginated across the following pages.
After using Repaginate, notice how the Switch Up Your Content heading keeps the page in place, while the content below it moves up to fill the empty space.
3. Unlocking the Page Content
If you want to fill the white space and find that a heading element is holding the content in place, move the heading element to the previous page first.
You can do this in one of the following ways:
Use the arrow icons in the toolbar.
Or drag the heading element with your mouse and drop it onto the previous page.
You can also use the CTRL + Up Arrow or CTRL + Down Arrow key combination to move the element up or down.
Once the heading element has been moved, click the Repaginate icon again.
