Within the Advanced Settings of a Repeat Group in the forms designer, you can specify the "Primary Question" for the group.

If an Image Question is selected as the primary question, the mobile app UI will adapt to show a grid of all your images in your device's gallery. You will be able to select multiple images or take new photos that will automatically populate your Repeat Group items.

*Note: Multi-Image Select is not currently a feature of Web Forms

Adding a Primary Question to a Repeat Group

Open the form in the designer and select the group. Next, click "Show Advanced Settings" and locate the "Primary Question".

Choose your Image Question.

View on Device Magic App

After saving the form, head over to the app on your device, open your form and click "Add Item" under your Repeat Group.

This will direct you to a page where you can view all your current images in your device's Gallery/Library in a grid format. Clicking on "Camera" at the bottom of the screen will allow you to take multiple photos which will be added to the list.

Select the photos you would like to add to your Repeat Group. Your selected images will display a blue circle with a number in each corner. You will also notice that the number above the "Review" tab at the bottom of your screen will increase as you select more images.

When you are ready, either click "Next" or "Review" as shown below.

In the "Review" tab you will see the images you selected from your Gallery under "Library", as well as the images you captured below that, under "Camera".

To confirm, click "Done".

Note: Clicking the back arrow at this point will remove your selection and you will need to choose your photos again.

After clicking "Done", you will be directed back to your Repeat Group. Each image will populate the chosen Primary Image field in a repeat group item. In the example below, seven entries have been created for each of the images we previously selected.

If you scroll through the images, you can select an image and the associated repeat group entry will open.

Multi-Image in Custom Templates

To display images in a custom template, please see this article.

Spacing between Images:

To add spacing between images on your final PDF/Word report, add a space on either side of the image placeholder, right after the for loop start and right before the {% endfor %}.

To add a space between the rows, highlight the entire ‘for loop’ and set the line spacing to 1.15 or more.
