For greater security, we offer a two factor authentication feature for administrators in your Device Magic organization.

There are two ways to enable two factor authentication.

The first method will enable two factor authentication for a single user administrator and show the steps involved in completing the authentication.

The second method will force two factor authentication for all user administrators.

Method 1

First, click the link in the top right corner of your dashboard that will be represented by your email address and then select 'Personal Settings'.

Next, select the 'Two Factor Auth' tab.

You'll then be brought to your Setup page.

Switch the 'Use two factor auth' toggle to 'On'.

2. Scan the QR code using the Authenticator app.

3. Enter OTP you get into 'OTP from Google Authenticator' field.

4. Click 'Save settings'.

SMS

  1. Enter your mobile number in the 'Phone number' field.

  2. Click 'Send OTP to number' button.

  3. Wait to receive SMS to your phone.

  4. Enter OTP you get into 'OTP from SMS' field.

  5. Click 'Save settings'.

Note: SMS message attempts are limited to 5 per day per user for security reasons. If you reach this limit, and are still having difficulty accessing your account, please reach out to support@devicemagic.com for further assistance.

Method 2

Force two factor authentication for all Users by clicking the gear icon on the top right corner of your Management Console and then select 'Organization Settings'.

You will then land on your Organization Settings page and find the 'Force Two Factor Auth' section. Simply switch the toggle to 'ON'.

This will force all users accessing your organization to use two factor authentication. After enabling this, the next time any of your users logs into your organization, they'll need to complete the previous steps for two factor authentication.ย

Note: Setting up 2FA will only affect Users logging into the Management Console and not Devices when logging into the mobile app.
