There are many useful options you can customize from within the Settings of the Device Magic app. Click the Device Magic icon in the left corner of the screen.
Resources
At the top, you will find the Resources section.
Help Center - A link directly to our Help Center to help you more easily find answers to your questions.

Organization Details
Once in the settings screen, you will see the following information:
Organization - The name of your organization. To change this please contact support@devicemagic.com.
Org Key - Your 6-digit key, unique to your organization.
Device Name - The device's name which you created when you joined your team.
Device Settings
Next you'll see some device settings.
Store Submissions - Choose "Never", "For days" or "Forever".
Days Submissions Stored - Here you can customize the number of days (default = 7) you would like to keep your submission history in your "Submissions" tab.
Note: The more days you keep submission history, the more memory is used to operate the app.
Add new items at current location - Enable the ability to enter additional items in between items in your current Repeat Group list. More info here.
Save Images In Gallery - When you make use of image fields in your forms, you will have the opportunity to choose whether you would like these images to automatically save to your device's Gallery.
This will create a folder in your gallery called "Device Magic Forms" where pictures taken from within the app will be saved. By default, this is set to the "On" position, but you can can turn the setting off here if, for example, you would like to save memory space on your device.
Advanced Settings:
- Diagnostics
Enable detailed Logging - Enabling this will send device data, such as error codes, back to Device Magic to help our Support Team pinpoint any problems that you may run into while using the app.
Forms Data Exporter - In the rare occasion a form gets stuck in your upload cue, you have the option to export data directly from your device to be recovered by the Device Magic Support Team. If a submission ever gets stuck in the upload cue on your device, please reach out to support@devicemagic.com to help.
App Version - This displays which version of the Device Magic app you are currently running. This helps you make sure you're running the most up-to-date version for a smoother experience.
Barcode Settings - If your Android device is struggling to scan a barcode, try limiting the types of barcodes the Android device can scan in the Advanced Settings of the app.
Select only the types of barcodes your device needs to scan.
Note: Unchecking all barcode types, will result in all being active by default.
Enable Stacked Layout For Tablets
The next setting is only available to tablet users. This allows you to change the way sub-forms are displayed within a form and utilize our new "Stacked Layout".
The new "Stacked Layout" presentation for sub-forms looks like this:
While the standard subform layout opens the entire subform on the screen:
Authenticate Web Client
Through the Settings page, you also have the ability to authenticate the our Web App (available on our Enterprise Plan) where you can fill out your forms from a desktop computer. Click here to learn more about Online Forms.
