How to install Dezygn Eye Extension (Sideload)

This version works exactly the sameβ€”you’ll just install it directly from the source files.

βœ… Prerequisites

  • Google Chrome or any Chromium-based browser (Edge, Brave, Opera, etc.)

  • A Dezygn account with at least one brand workspace


πŸ›  Installation Steps

1. Get the Extension Files

Download ZIP


2. Enable Developer Mode

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Copy paste this in your adress bar and press enter chrome://extensions/

  3. Toggle Developer mode ON (top-right corner)

  4. New buttons will appear: Load unpacked, Pack extension, etc.


3. Load the Extension

  1. Click Load unpacked

  2. Navigate to your zipped dezygn-eye extension

  3. Click Open

βœ… The extension should now appear in your Chrome extensions list.


4. Verify Installation

  • You’ll see the Dezygn Eye icon in your toolbar

  • In chrome://extensions/, it will show as Unpacked

  • Click the icon on any website to test it


5. Pin the Extension (Optional)

  1. Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome’s toolbar

  2. Find Dezygn Eye

  3. Click the pin icon πŸ“Œ to keep it visible at all times


🎨 Using Dezygn Eye

First-Time Setup

  1. Click the Dezygn Eye icon on any website

  2. Log in with your Dezygn account

  3. Choose a brand folder

  4. Start importing images instantly

Daily Use

  1. Visit any website with images

  2. Open the sidebar with the Dezygn Eye icon

  3. Select the images you want (blue checkmarks appear)

  4. Click Send to Dezygn to upload directly to your workspace


πŸ›  Troubleshooting

Issue

Fix

Extension not loading

Make sure manifest.json is in the root folder β†’ reload in chrome://extensions/

Login issues

Double-check your Dezygn credentials β†’ reinstall if needed

No images detected

Refresh the page or test on another site β†’ check Chrome console

Upload failures

Confirm brand folder is selected β†’ try smaller batches of images


πŸ”’ Security & Permissions

Dezygn Eye only runs when you activate it. It requests:

  • activeTab β†’ to scan images on the page

  • storage β†’ to remember your login/brand

  • scripting β†’ to display the sidebar interface

  • downloads β†’ to upload images into your Dezygn workspace

Your images are uploaded securely and stored only in your private Dezygn account.


πŸ”„ Updating the Extension

When a new version is available:

  1. Download the updated files

  2. Replace your old dezygn-eye folder

  3. Go to chrome://extensions/

  4. Click the reload icon on Dezygn Eye
