Calling basics

Updated this week

DialLink makes calling simple and intuitive. Whether you're answering, making, or managing calls, everything happens within the app.

Receiving a call

Subscription plan availability: Receiving incoming calls is supported on all plans: Essential, Professional, and Enterprise.

When a call comes in, a pop-up window appears where you can choose to answer, decline, or ignore it. Declining the call may send it to voicemail if voicemail is enabled, while ignoring it simply dismisses the notification without rejecting the call.

Note. You can receive calls only when the DialLink app is open. However, it doesn’t need to stay on your screen. You can keep it minimized in the background and still receive calls.

Making a call

Subscription plan availability: Making outgoing calls is supported on all plans: Essential, Professional, and Enterprise.

To place a call, you can use one of the following options:

Option 1: Use the dialer

Open the dialer and manually enter the phone number, then click the Call button.

Transferring a call

Subscription plan availability: Cold call transfer is supported on all plans: Essential, Professional, and Enterprise. Warm call transfer is supported on Professional and Enterprise plans only.

If you need to route a call to another person, DialLink provides two transfer options.

With a warm transfer, you first speak with the recipient to provide context before completing the transfer.

With a cold transfer, the call is redirected immediately, and you disconnect from the conversation.
