Before you can use your U.S. or Canadian phone number to send business-related text messages, you must complete the steps below.
Register your number for business messaging
If you plan to send business messages from a U.S. phone number, you must complete A2P 10DLC registration.
This registration is required by major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, to reduce spam and protect consumers from fraudulent messaging.
Learn more in U.S. Carrier Registration for Messaging and CNAM.
Review messaging compliance requirements
There are strict regulations in the U.S. regarding the types of content that can be sent via SMS. Before sending business messages:
Follow messaging compliance guidelines to avoid delivery failures or carrier penalties.
