MCP servers in DialLink

Updated yesterday

MCP servers are connectors that let your AI agents use external tools and services directly during conversations. Think of them as extra “skills” you can give to an agent: from looking up customer records in your CRM to checking product availability in your online store.

With MCP servers, your agents act, using real data from the systems you already rely on. That means faster responses, fewer manual tasks, and more relevant, personalized interactions.

Before you start

To connect an MCP server in DialLink, you need to use that external service in your business already. DialLink doesn’t create or host these accounts; you bring your own.

How it works in DialLink

  1. Choose the service you already use
For example, HubSpot for CRM tasks or Shopify for e-commerce.

  2. Provide secure access
Configure service credentials in DialLink, such as an API key or access token. This permits DialLink to use that service.

  3. DialLink takes care of the setup
We handle the technical part. You don’t need to install anything, configure servers, or write code.

  4. Assign the MCP server to an AI agent
In the agent’s settings, select the connected server. This tells the agent which service it can use during calls or chats.

  5. Your agent uses it in real time
During live interactions, the agent can pull information, create or update records, or provide context before transferring calls.
