Our team of medical practitioners, mental health specialists, and therapists can help you safely with a wide range of conditions via virtual care. Those conditions include but are not limited to:
Insomnia
Anxiety, social anxiety and isolation,
specific phobias
Grief, bereavement, divorce or separation
Depression
Adjustment disorder
Bipolar disorder (unless acute mania)
Secondary distress from health condition or other mental health disorder even if not in scope
Assertiveness
Anger management (unless situation of active abuse)
Coaching (ex. Stress, burnout)
An in-person visit is mandatory for:
Controlled substances or substance use disorder
Life-threatening conditions
Paranoid personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, somatoform disorder, active psychosis, eating disorders
Other consultations deemed necessary by our specialists
Children under 14 years old
Who is eligible?
Members of an organization subscribed to Dialogue’s Mental Health or Stress & Wellness program and their immediate family (limited to spouse and children) for organizations with family access.
Members cannot consult on behalf of someone else for legal reasons.
Children aged 14 and older are required to have their own Dialogue account and cannot use their parents’ accounts.
Children under 14 years old are not eligible for treatment as they require an in-person assessment, which falls outside the scope of virtual care.
Members are required to be physically located in Canada when using Dialogue. It is not possible to use our services from elsewhere except for administrative tasks (e.g. booking appointments).
Your Journey:
Mental Health Specialist
First point of contact for patients to better understand their concern and evaluate their needs
Background/experience in social work, crisis intervention and/or short-term coaching, specialized in mental health, which provides an empathetic approach to interventions
Works with patient to outline a meet their goal(s) within a mutually agreed-upon time frame
Therapist
Guides patients through a goal-oriented and solution-focused program
Works with patient to outline a plan to conquer their goal(s) within a mutually agreed-upon time frame
May use, or employ multiple therapeutic approaches depending on patient needs
Team of mental health practitioners include social workers, occupational therapists, sexologists, psychotherapists and psychologists
Case Manager
Guides patient throughout their journey through check-ins and follow ups
Assists with non-clinical tasks, i.e. books appointments, administrative work, paperwork, etc.
Medical Practitioner (NP/MD)
Provides clinical assessments to discern between physical and mental health issues
Diagnoses mental health issues and/or adjusts existing diagnoses, prescribes or modifies medication, and refers the patient to specialized therapy
