Candy Rack’s Analytics dashboard provides powerful insights into your upsell performance. This guide will help you navigate the interface and understand how to use analytics to optimize your upsell strategy.

Analytics dashboard overview

The Analytics dashboard gives you a comprehensive view of your upsell performance at a glance.

The main dashboard displays these key metrics:

  1. Views - The total number of times your offers were displayed to customers.

  2. Incremental sales - Total sales generated directly by Candy Rack offers.

  3. Total sales - Total revenue from all sales, including revenue generated by Candy Rack offers.

  4. Average order value - The average revenue generated per order.

  5. Offers performance - A ranking of your top-performing offers based on generated sales.

  6. Top offered products - Products that generated the most revenue from Candy Rack upsell offers.

  7. Total orders - The total number of orders received.

Each metric shows the current value and percentage change compared to the previous period, making it easy to track performance trends.

Tracking offer views and incremental sales

The detailed metrics view provides comprehensive insights into both your offer Views and Incremental sales data.

This view includes:

  • Comparison with a previous time period (shown as a dotted line)

  • A detailed table breaking down performance by individual offer

  • Additional metrics including Added to cart, Products sold, Take rate, and Placement

You can switch between Views and Incremental Sales by clicking on the respective metric, allowing you to focus on either customer engagement or revenue generation. The Take rate metric (ratio of sold upsell products compared to total views) is particularly valuable for measuring offer effectiveness.

The same interface lets you analyze both how frequently your offers are being seen and how much revenue they’re generating, making it easy to identify correlations between visibility and sales performance.

Individual offer and product analysis

For deeper insights into specific offers, you can select any offer name to view its detailed performance and the performance of individual products within that offer.

By selecting a specific product, you can analyze the performance of the offer it was included in. If you include the product in multiple offers, this provides you with insights on which offer performs best, allowing you to make qualified decisions.

⚠️ Candy Rack only recently began reporting this detailed product data. If your list of sold products contains an entry labeled "Unknown product," it means that this product was sold in the past when the app was unable to attribute the specific product to the offer.

Impact on Sales

Candy Rack provides you with deep insights into how the app impacts your total sales. Specifically, you can see the difference in average order value between orders that contain purchased upsells and those that do not.

To analyze these statistics, refer to detailed metrics like Total sales, Total orders, or Average order value on the Analytics dashboard.

Exporting your data

For further analysis, you can export your analytics data by clicking the “Export” button in the top right corner of any analytics view. This creates a downloadable file containing all the metrics displayed in your current view.

Using Analytics to optimize performance

To get the most from your analytics:

  1. Compare placement effectiveness - Look at Take rate and Incremental sales across different placements to determine where offers perform best

  2. Identify top performers - Focus on offers with the highest incremental sales

  3. Test and iterate - Use data to guide changes to underperforming offers

  4. Track seasonal trends - Use custom date ranges to understand how performance varies over time

By regularly reviewing your analytics, you can make data-driven decisions to continuously improve your upsell strategy and maximize revenue.

Please be advised that Candy Rack maintains analytics data for a limited retention period. When viewing historical performance, the dashboard will display only the data available within this timeframe.
