Practical Applications of Custom Farm Statuses
Custom farm statuses can be used for various purposes, including:
Client Management: Identify key farms by status, such as Active, Quoted, or Lost.
Layer Filtering: Toggle farm statuses on or off to view relevant farms in the mapping interface.
Portfolio Organization: Quickly navigate farm folders and streamline workflow processes.
Example Use Case
An insurance company admin sets up the following farm statuses:
Active Farms (Green) β Clients with active policies.
Quoted Farms (Beige) β Properties with pending quotes.
Lost Farms (Blue) β Clients who did not proceed.
Competitor Farms (Red) β Properties under competitor policies.
The image below illustrates how farm boundaries appear before and after statuses are applied, demonstrating how they can be toggled on or off for improved navigation using your layers filter.
Customizing Statuses for Workflow Needs
Farm statuses are fully customizable and can be adapted to fit unique business workflows. Beyond standard categories like "Active" or "Quoted," users can create statuses for internal tracking, operational tasks, or customer segmentation. These statuses can also be used creatively to track competitor properties, special projects, or seasonal farm classifications.
Since these statuses integrate with DAS Portfolio, they also enhance reporting and analysis at a broader level, ensuring seamless data organization across the system.
