Written Guide: How to Create a Property Report in DAS
Creating a property report in DAS is simple and intuitive. This guide walks you through the steps to create a detailed, professional report for your clients.
Step 1: Select Your Custom Farm
Before creating a report, select the custom farm you want to base the report on. There are three ways to do this:
From the Map: Navigate to the desired farm on the map and left-click on it.
From the Custom Farms Tab: Open the Custom Farms tab and select a previously created farm.
Create a New Farm: Build a new custom farm using the “Build Mode” feature. Here’s a link to our detailed article on building a new custom farm: How to Build a Custom Farm.
Once the farm is selected, the left-hand side interface will appear. Navigate to the Reports Tab, then click Create New Report and select Property Report.
💡 Tip: All reports are saved to your account and can be accessed or edited later. If you expand or reduce the boundaries of a custom farm, you’ll need to create a new report to reflect these changes.
Step 2: Customize Your Property Report
Once inside the property report builder, you'll find various sections. Of these, only the Overview, Nearby Sales, and Structures sections allow for manual input of data. The remaining sections can be toggled on or off to suit your needs.
At any point during the editing process, you can click the Preview Report button at the bottom of the screen to see how the final report will appear. This will open a new tab or browser pop-out with the generated report for easy review.
Title Section
Enter a clear and descriptive title for your report.
The title will be searchable in your report library and appear prominently on the report’s first page.
Overview Tab
This tab provides basic information about the property:
Property Name: Enter a name that aligns with your report’s purpose.
Address: The GIS address will populate automatically, but you can edit it if a more accurate address is known.
Property Description: Add any additional details not captured in DAS data (e.g., interior features, machinery, livestock).
Land Area (ha): DAS calculates this based on polygon boundaries. If you have more accurate title information, feel free to update it.
Step 3: Add Nearby Sales
Adding nearby sales enhances the report by providing valuable comparisons. Its very simple to add them you have two options below for adding.
To streamline the process of approving and adding nearby sales whilst building your report at the same time, follow these steps to ensure the necessary layers and filters are enabled:
Turn on Sales Layer: Navigate to the Layers Tab. Ensure the Sales Layer and Pin Layers are active by toggling them on. A visible layer ensures you can interact with sales data on the map.
Adjust Sales Filters: Open the Filters Tab. Enable both the Sales Filter and Sales Pin Filter for the years you wish to view.
Move the toggle switch to the right (highlighted blue) to activate the filters.
Check that the eye icons are not crossed out, as a crossed-out eye indicates the layer is hidden.
Use the available options to toggle specific sales years on or off and adjust parameters to focus on relevant data.
3. Approve Sales:
For System Sales:
Click on highlighted system farm boundaries or sales pins visible on the map.
In the farm’s interface, go to the Sales Tab and click Approve Sale for any sales that meet your criteria.
For Custom Sales:
Click the Add Sale button in the Sales Tab to create a custom sale.
A new pin will appear on the map for the custom sale. Click this pin to open the editing interface.
Once the information is updated as desired you can add it as a nearby sale via the same methods as other sales.
4. Add Sales to Your Report
Once sales are approved, you can add them to your report using one of the following methods:
Use the ALT Key:
Hold down the ALT key and left-click on a sales pin displayed on the map. This action will add the selected sale to your report as a nearby sale.
Via the Farm Interface:
With these options, you can easily incorporate nearby sales into your property report, ensuring relevant and comprehensive comparisons.

Area (sq. m): Adjust the area if exact measurements are known.
Construction Year, Condition, Value, Insured Value, Description: Provide relevant details for each structure.
Add a New Structure: Click + Add Structure, then use Place Structure to pinpoint its location on the map.
💡 Structures can also include creative usage / inputs like soil types, crop details, or machinery lists, tailored to your workflow.
Step 5: Add Images
Click the Gallery Button in the top-right corner of the Structures Tab.
Click the Upload text this will then take you to the upload interface.
