After searching for a property, a red pin will appear on the map. However, clicking the pin itself does not interact with the property directly. The pin is simply a reference point to indicate the search location, helping you identify where your query has landed.
How to Access Property Information
Click on a land boundary near the red pin. If available, it should have a black border indicating its boundary, depending on the selected property boundary layer (Parcels, Titles, Ratable Properties, or Land Area).
Check the Overview Tab to verify that you’ve selected the correct property.
Why Can’t I Select a Property?
If hovering or clicking on a parcel does nothing, the most common reason is that the property is not classified as rural in our system (No Black Boundary Line) This means:
✅ No property data is available in DAS. To check whether a property falls within an excluded urban area, visit ABS Maps and select the Significant Urban Areas boundary layer. Properties within these boundaries are not covered in DAS.
✅ Custom farms cannot be built in these locations.
