How to Use the Geospatial Area Filter in Portfolio

Updated over a week ago

The Geospatial Area filter in DAS Portfolio allows you to focus your queries on a specific location. Whether you're targeting a known property, analysing a region, or conducting market research in a custom area, this tool provides three flexible ways to define your search zone:

🔹 Option 1: Use Latitude, Longitude & Radius

If you have specific coordinates:

  1. Enter the Latitude and Longitude in the designated fields.

  2. Set the desired radius (in kilometres).

  3. Click the Locate icon (highlighted in the interface) to visualise the radius on the map.

  4. Adjust the radius dynamically by dragging the black dots on the map’s edge.

🔹 Option 2: Search by Address

To search using a property address:

  1. Begin typing the address in the search bar.

  2. Select the correct address from the dropdown list.

Note: Lot or RMB numbers may not appear in the results.

  3. Once selected, click the Locate icon to centre the map on that location.

  4. You can adjust the radius in the same way as Option 1 using the black dots on the map.

🔹 Option 3: Draw Your Own Area

To manually define a custom boundary:

  1. Click the pencil icon to activate the draw tool.

  2. Click around the desired area to drop pins and build your shape.

  3. When finished, double-click on the final pin to close the shape.

  4. Click “Done” to confirm your selection.
Note: The “Done” button becomes active only after double-clicking to complete the shape.

  5. To move the shape, click and drag the yellow circles (pinpoints) to reposition the boundary dynamically.

✅ Tip:

After setting your Geospatial Area, you can further refine your search using filters like Crop ID, Primary Land Use, Building Count, or PTC Index to create highly targeted queries that match your business needs.
