Written Guide: How to Delete or Edit Custom Farms in DAS
Managing custom farms in DAS is simple and intuitive. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to delete or edit your custom farms effectively.
Step 1: Access the Custom Farms Tab
From your default view upon logging into DAS, follow these steps to navigate to the custom farms section:
Navigate to the Custom Farms Tab:
On the left-hand side of the DAS interface, locate and click on the Custom Farms tab. This will open a comprehensive list of all custom created farms associated with your account.Filter for Specific Farms (Optional):
Use the Filter button at the top-right of the Custom Farms tab to refine your search.
The filter options allow you to search by ownership (your own or your shared company farms), state, data range, farm name, farm status, custom field category (uniquely defined as per your company) and client ID.
Step 2: Deleting a Custom Farm
Deleting a custom farm is straightforward:
Locate the Farm:
Use the filters or scroll through the list to find the farm you want to delete.Access the Options Menu:
Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the farm’s information box.
From the dropdown menu, select Delete.
Confirm Deletion:
Follow the prompt to confirm the deletion. Once confirmed, the farm will be permanently removed from your account.
Step 3: Editing a Custom Farm
If you need to adjust the boundaries of an existing custom farm, here’s how:
Locate the Farm:
Use the filters or scroll through the list to find the farm you wish to edit.Enter Building Mode:
Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the farm’s information box.
From the dropdown menu, select Edit.
Customize the Farm Boundaries:
After selecting Edit, you’ll enter Building Mode. This will display the farm’s location on the map interface and activate tools for boundary customization.
Add Parcels or Land Areas: Hold the Shift key and left-click on additional parcels or land areas to include them in your custom farm. The newly added areas will be highlighted in green.
Remove Parcels or Land Areas: Deselect areas by Shift-clicking on them again.
Save Changes:
Once you’ve made the necessary adjustments, click Save Property.
A prompt will appear, allowing you to rename the farm, assign a Client ID, or apply any relevant statuses or custom fields.
Note: After editing a custom farm's boundaries, you can easily update Insurance and Appraisal Reports. Click the top-right corner of the report's information box to access the dropdown option for "Copy and Update Structures." This feature allows you to retain data from the previous report and apply it to a new one, reflecting the latest boundary updates. Additionally, it ensures the structure list is updated according to your edits while preserving information associated with retained structures, streamlining your workflow and saving valuable time.
