We have recently added a new feature to our system, which allows you to exclude government land from your property search. This feature can be found on the settings page under the flag "exclude government land".
When this flag is ticked, all government land will be filtered out from the identified properties and not included in the market share calculation and market opportunity. For example, you can see the difference between:
โ
โA) Bundaberg LGA without government land.
B) Bundaberg LGA with government land.
It is important to note that the total area our system farms cover will differ when government land is excluded. The number of farms included will also be different, affecting the denominator in the market share calculation. Typically, it will be higher without the government data.
Any company admin can access the settings page and the flag. Once the flag is changed, it will affect all account users.
Government land includes categories such as CCA Zone 1 National Park, State Conservation Area, Indigenous Protected Area, and National Parks Act Schedule 4 park or reserve. Different states may have other names for government land; not all categories will affect all states. The list above includes all categories for all states.
As for your user farms - if any of them were identified as part of government land, they will still be present, calculated and presented on the map. We are not excluding any property that our customers identified. All user farms will be part of the market share and market opportunity calculations, no matter the description of the land use. It is important to note that the total area our system farms cover will differ when government land is excluded, affecting the denominator in the market share calculation. However, all user farms will still be included in the calculation and presented on the map. .
