Why Aren’t the Additional Property Areas I’ve Added to My Custom Farm Appearing in My Report?
Updated over 2 months ago

DAS reports are a snapshot in time, meaning they capture the data and boundaries of your custom farm at the moment the report was created. If you later modify the parcels, land area, titles, or ratable properties within your custom farm, the report will not automatically update to reflect those changes.

However, DAS provides a Copy Report feature for Appraisal and Insurance reports that allows you to update your report with the newly added property areas while preserving all existing content, including comments, structure details, and photos.

How to Update Your Report with New Property Areas

If you've modified the land area or want to modify your land in a previously created custom farm report, there's no need to start from scratch. You can easily update the existing report by following these steps:

1. Modify the Custom Farm

To update the boundaries of your custom farm:

  • Find Your Farm on the Map

    • Custom farms have a pink boundary line by default or a custom color based on your company’s status boundary settings.

  • Access Your Farm Folder

    • Click the folder icon (with a number "1") on the left-hand side of your UI, just below the crosshair icon.

    • Hover over icons to view tooltips describing their functions.

  • Use Filters for Quick Search

    • Apply filters to quickly locate your desired farm.

  • Select and Edit the Farm

    • Click on the farm card of your choice.

    • Click "Edit" at the top of the Overview tab.

  • Modify Boundaries

    • In edit mode, you can add, remove, or adjust properties boundaries to reflect your updated farm boundaries.

2. Access the Report Tab

  • Navigate to the Report tab to view all previously created reports.

  • Keep in mind that reports retain the original parcels that were included when they were first created.

3. Use the Copy Feature to Update the Report

  • Find the old report you want to update.

  • Click the three dots next to the report and select "Copy".

  • This creates a duplicate of the original report, now including the updated property boundaries while preserving previous:

    • Comments

    • Structures

    • Photos

By following these steps, you can seamlessly update reports with new property areas without losing valuable data.
